By partnering with our customers we're able to help solve key technology problems, often improving their products' performance and competitiveness, reducing process costs and increasing finished product quality. Our years of experience installing our products in a diversity of industries enables us to borrow technology and apply it in new ways. As a result, we can offer innovative solutions which are virtually risk-free, incorporating field-proven products and technologies.
From this 1.1 megawatt WATROD tubular circulation tank used to heat molten salt at a chemical processing plant to this 1mm diameter cartridge heater for a hand-held soldering iron used for splicing fiber optic cable in the field, Watlow thermodynamics expertise can meet your needs.
Watlow Gordon engineers developed a unique sensor with a wear sleeve design for turbine engine exhaust gas temperature sensing to meet the demanding specifications of the U.S. government. The use of precision machining on the investment cast parts along with electron beam welding enabled the sensor to meet a series of qualifications tests including high velocity vibration combined with extreme temperature gradients, hermeticity and calibration accuracy. In more than ten years there has not been a single failure.
Heated, moist oxygen is required in patient respiratory therapy and anesthesia. A Watlow silicone rubber heater, engineered to meet both UL and CSA agency approval, is factory vulcanized to the unique geometry of the humidifier's hot plate. The custom heater shape includes holes for a thermostat, hi-limit control and support framework. The sub-assembly increases heat transfer efficiency and reduces the manufacturer's installation cost.
The patented THINBAND® heater's flexible one-piece design makes installation on plastics molding equipment faster and easier. Processors no longer need to remove other band heaters already in place or purchase more expensive two-piece bands. The new spring-loaded QUICK CLAMP secures the THINBAND heater tightly around the barrel with an easy flip of the thumb.
Watlow designed an aluminum pressure cast-in platen assembly that includes a formed cable heater and cooling tube with a well for the RTD sensor. The precision machined surface maintains temperature uniformity to 400°C (752°F). The JIT assembly enables the equipment manufacturer to reduce lead times and supplier base.
The SERIES N7 controller offers a host of benefits for foodservice OEMs. This popular cooking computer is ideal for foodservice applications such as fryers, griddles, heated cabinets and a multitude of ovens. The SERIES N7 platform controller offers you the ability to specify application requirements at a lower development cost than a traditional custom controller. It also features expanded communication options such as NAFEM Data Protocol (NDP) Ethernet connectivity- allowing users to meet increasing industry needs for documentation.
