Partnering - New Technologies

Partnering New Technologies
"Through our Watlow sales engineer, we jointly developed a silicone rubber heater to address our customers' stringent requirements. This was greatly facilitated by Watlow's rapid prototyping. Three years into the partnership, we signed formal documents cementing our company and Watlow together. This allows us to share high level design information. It's this trust that allows us to provide the best solutions for our customers."   - Project Manager

LPCVD

Low pressure chemical vacuum deposition (LPCVD), aluminum etching and other semiconductor processes generate particulate contaminants which solidify on cool surfaces. A joint development between Watlow and the manufacturer of downstream vacuum lines for clean room environments produced a silicone rubber heater that provided uniform temperature for even the hard-to-heat valves. Testing proved a consistent tenfold decrease in particle counts.

Partnering - Three Generations

Partnering- Three Generations
"We had been making the parts without heaters, but when aircraft began flying faster and higher, requiring anti-icing capabilities, Mr. Desloge Sr. was one of few people willing to make prototypes for my father at that time. As a result we were able to get our designs patented. We've stayed with Watlow all these years due to the cooperation. It's more than a marriage of convenience. They have the experience and unique capabilities even to this day."  -Owner
Aerospace

Freeze protection is required on aircraft components for commercial and military fixed wing aircraft, and helicopters. Since 1944, when the manufacturer required a better heater design, three generations of family owners have worked with Watlow engineers to continually meet new aerospace specifications. This partnership has ensured the manufacturer's leadership role in its industry.
